A little back ground information on Adhesives used in the Eyelash Extension Industry.

The below comments are fact and not there to influence you to purchase our products. There are various roumers spread about competitors adhesives to favour their own which i will cover below.

All adhesives used in the industry are Cyanoacrylate based, ( cyanoacrylate basically means a fast drying strong adhesive)

A majority of the eyelash companies in the UK import their adhesive from an Asian source ie Vietnam,South Korea, Taiwan, China. These adhesives are manufactured using "solvents" which dictate the drying time, the viscosity (thickness) and the flow rate from the bottle. The adhesives that boast "INSTANT GRAB" fast drying have fundamental flaws. The first being that the faster an adhesive cures the more brittle it becomes, if attached to a lash it could also make the donor lash brittle. Secondly, a small amount of workable time needs to be available in case the lash extension was put on at the incorrect angle. Otherwise the lash needs to be de-bonded and re-attached. Causing more work. The faster drying types of adhesive dries so quick  because more solvents are included in the mixture which disperse in the air to make the adhesive cure. Lastly these adhesives have a short shelf life 2-3months due to the fact that a. the solvents disperse. b. the bottles are not designed to give the glue longevity.

WHEN WORKING WITH THESE SOLVENT BASED ADHESIVES, THE SOLVENTS WILL ATTACK THE MUCUS MEMBRANE IN THE NOSE AND EYES, PROLONGED EXPOSURE IE 45-120 MINUTES OF AN EYELASH EXTENSION APPLICATION CAN RESULT IN WATERY EYES, REDNESS, SORENESS AND IN EXTREME CASES MAJOR SWELLING OF THE EYE AREA. IF YOU HAVE TO KEEP THE EYES CLOSED FOR 10-15 MINUTES AFTER THE APPLICATION TO LET THE FUMES DISPERSE DO NOT USE THESE PRODUCTS.

Roumer : "Dont use their glue because it has Formaldehyde in it!"  

Fact: All cyanoacrylate adhesives have Formaldehyde in them. It is used in the Manufacturing Process and then Distilled to remove as much as possible. The distillation process will be determined on the  intended use of the adhesive.

Roumer: "Our glue is Medical Grade which makes it better than the others"

Fact: If your not gluing somebody's internal body parts together in an operating theatre, why would you need Medical grade glue to stick some eyelash extensions onto their eye lids??.  Normally medical grade adhesives come as a one use product i.e. (you cant stick Mr Jone's Kidney together today and then Stick Mrs Evans Liver together tomorrow from the same bottle. It would not be sterile. I have spoken to a medical grade adhesive manufacturer who include a special polymer in the bottle to make the adhesive cure in the bottle after one use, eliminating the risk of it being used again.

Roumer "Keep your glue in the Refrigerator"

Fact: Putting a bottle of adhesive from a warm salon environment into a refrigerator will cause condensation in the bottle. This condensation can make the adhesive cure faster in the bottle, hence lots of wastage meaning more product sold.

Before you purchase adhesive in the future, Ask your supplier, "if i have a problem arising from an adhesive ie my client is suing me because her eyes were swollen on her wedding day because of a reaction to the adhesive". . IS THE ADHESIVE TRACEABLE back to the actual manufacturer who can help supply you with the relevant information on the product.

Now we are going to talk about the "GOOD STUFF"  LASHBOND ADHESIVE.
